Fujifilm X100V: London — A photo story.
Yeah guys, first time traveling abroad since pre-covid. One thing I have to tell ya, this felt so good again. But let me start at the beginning.
My friends from the US came to Europe and did a little vacation in London, so I thought, let’s join them for a few days, since it’s only a two-hour flight from where I live. Once the details were settled, I was pumped.
So the day of arrival got closer, and I packed my essentials. I tried to keep it as minimalistic as I could:
- Fujifilm X100V
- Fujifilm 28 mm & 50 mm conversion lens
- Phone
- Passport
- Laptop
- Clothes

So the first day was pretty basic, we flew from Salzburg to London, checked in the Montcalm East in Shoreditch and had some dinner with our friends in the Madison Rooftop Bar. The views have been really nice up there, food is pricey though.
So the next day we started exploring. First we did a bus ride to the London Bridge where our journey of exploring London should start.
Then we walked along the Themse to the Tower Bridge and enjoyed the view, we got lucky with the weather. It was sunny for quite some time.
We were already on the way from the Tower Bridge to the HMS Belfast, as we saw that you can visit the inside of the TB. So we did that and got amazing views. Price was around 8 pounds per person.
In total awe of the pleasant view, we checked out the HMS Belfast. Which you can spot in the last photo. The HMS Belfast is an old warship from 1938 and got rebuilt to a museum. If you’re ever close, definitely check this out, so interesting how the people lived on this ship back then.
After being on the ship for around two hours, we headed to Five Guys for an awesome Burger. Next stop: Westminster, which was around 30 minutes walk.
Arrived in westminster, it got very crowded, so we moved on to the direction of trafalgar square and took some shots of the passing buses and cabs. I already had a new goal in mind, the Fujifilm House of Photography.
aaaand there it was! I’ve always wanted to visit since its opening.
Well, yeah, that was basically our last stop of the day. The next days it started raining a lot, so we spent the rest of our London experience partying and being in Pubs. 10/10 would recommend, this was a lot of fun.
